Sophie Stevenson is a Licensed Masters Social Worker. She brings over 10 years of mental health and business administration to the Open Hearts Board of Directors. She is passionate about advocating for health equity and child welfare. Sophie received her Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University and Master’s in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for Open Hearts, Sophie also volunteers her time as an Alumni Mentor for the College Success Foundation where she participates in opportunities to give back to her community in order to inspire underserved, low-income minority students to finish high school and graduate from college.
Open Hearts is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) since 2002. The COA accreditation process involves the review of the entire organization based on international standards that were developed in the support of enhanced organizational growth and stability, an unwavering commitment to the health, safety, and rights of clients, and producing high quality, measurable results. COA accreditation is an elite designation that signifies excellence in practice, operations and programs for the care delivered to the individuals and families we serve.
